Party Boy

Carsten had his 1st birthday party and it was a cowboy theme. He was able to celebrate with some family and his friends. He loved showing off his new wagon that his Grandma Diane and Grandma Marge bought him. I learned that Carsten really likes cupcakes and don't you dare think about taking them away from him. It is interesting that as soon as he turned 1 it seemed like an instant change into toddlerdom...not sure if that is a word. He talks all time and some makes sense and some makes sense only to him. He also sure is a goofy boy. I tried to put him to bed last night and while he was resting on my shoulder he would look up and make a gooft face and wrinkle his nose and sniff really hard. I of course started laughing and after he did this 3 times I figured we should stop and put him to bed. What a little stinker.

Birthday Boy

Wow, our little boy is now 1 and not a little baby anymore. I can't believe how quickly the time went and when I look at old pictures I start to cry. I guess I knew he was going to get older, but it is hard when it actually happens. He is a sweet little boy and had his Dr. appointment yesterday. He is in the 75% for height and 50% for weight. He gets to have his grandma Diane and great grandma Marge visit from Minnesota for his birthday. Tomorrow he will have a cowboy theme birthday and is excited to have all his little friends come.

Playing at the Park & Talking on the Phone

Carsten had a fun time playing in the park and going up and down the big hill. He also played with his friend Selah. Carsten likes to take his play phone against his ear and say "hi". He said hi to nana, papa and daddy on the real phone last night.

Baby Steps.....I guess toddler steps

Well, Carsten is trying to walk more and more each day. Sometimes he is in control and sometimes he is completely out of control. His record is 18 steps, and yes, I count each time.
