Santa

Carsten got to meet santa for the 1st time and he liked santa, but wanted to pull on his beard. Hopefully he told santa what he wanted for Christmas.

November

November has been a busy month with lots of visitors and Carsten turned 9 months old. Nine months means more getting into everything and being a little brave by trying to take a step or two. Mitch and I even managed to go on a date. That was our 2nd date since Carsten was born and it was nice to spend time together. Carsten celebrated his 1st Thanksgiving and liked pumpkin pie and whipped cream, but not mashed potatoes....I think he takes after his daddy. The Kilorans and my mom and dad all went to see the zoo lights on Thanksgiving night, which was a lot of fun. We hope you and your family enjoyed your Thanksgiving.

A-MANE-ZING

Carsten had a busy weekend where he celebrated his 1st Halloween and went to a Sun's game with daddy. Carsten was not a fan of his lion costume because he couldn't crawl with his large mane weighing him down. He is crawling all over and also started climbing stairs today.

8 Months

Cartsen is offically eight months old and I don't know where the time went. The days of having a baby who stays in one place are all over. He loves to stand in his crib when he should be taking a nap and laughs when you check on him......I think he is proud of the standing. He also is getting better at crawling and soon he will be into everything, which it is starting.
We went to Sedona this weekend and had a nice time. The weather was beautiful and it was great to rejuvinate and be outside and hike. Carsten had his first hiking experience and fell asleep on the way back in a very uncomfortable position.

Pasta Play

Here is Carsten at class the other day when the babies played in a pool of pasta. There were many babies that cried, but Carsten was just chill and didn't care when his mom piled more and more spaghetti on him.
We also tried on Carsten's Halloween costume and he looks like a sweet little lion. The other picture obviously shows how much my little boy and his daddy look alike. Mitch celebrated his 30th birthday this weekend at the Phoenix Oktoberfest, but apparently Arizonans don't take well to Polka. Oh well, it was a little taste of Minnesota in Arizona for Mitch.

Musical Baby

Here is Carsten today at our class. He loves when the teacher brings out the drums and he can accompany with the maracas. He is such a doll and loves his time at class. The other day I was looking at him in his crib and realized he is getting so big. I can't believe it has been 7 1/2 months already.

Minnesota

We just got back from our visit to MN and we had such a nice time. It is great to be around family and friends and in cooler temps. This was the first time Carsten has ever worn a coat. He got to learn so much from his cousins and have fun playing with them too.
He saw his cousin Brynn swim, Breghan at gymnastics, Alex at football, we dropped of Lauren at soccer....I guess we were movers and shakers while we were there. Carsten also started to get up on all fours and pull himself around. His two bottom teeth are starting to come in too. I guess MN was a maturing place for him. Thanks to my family for letting us come visit and stay at your homes.

Umm, I don't think I want that on

Okay, here is Carsten the other day when I put him down for a nap. I guess he decided music wasn't relaxing for him that day. He has been enjoying his classes and I swear the other day he was singing in our music class. The teacher was laughing because after we would finish singing Carsten would belt out his voice for everyone to hear. I think he takes after Mitch and not his mama....his singing wasn't so good, but he liked to be the center of attention.

Football Season

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Ahh....it is football season and that means it will start to feel like Fall weather. The leaves are changing, you can feel the crispness in the air. Oh yeah, we are in Arizona. I learned the hard way last year that football season doesn't mean I can roll out the stews and chili when it is still 100 degrees out. Of course Mitch loves being able to watch the Gophers and the Vikings and Carsten has seen his first Viking and Gopher game. I think Carsten has been the Gophers good luck charm.
At an early age I think Carsten already likes to fight with me. Everytime I put him down to go to sleep I turn on his musical aquarium and give him a kiss, he then proceeds to roll over and turn his aquarium off. That little stinker. I have included the latest photos of what we have been up to over the last couple of weeks. We went to California, Jerome and have been watching football. Finally the weather is starting to cool down and walks are on the agenda again.
